The Workshop: Hakuna Matata Project Week 1

For those of you who don't know, the Hakuna Matata project is our plan for a healthy, balanced, and peaceful way of living. Let's face it, nobody has a picture perfect life. Our lives can be hectic and stressful. You may feel like you have too much on your plate at times; like the world is on your shoulders. Don't worry, you're not alone. Take a deep breath and get ready to be excited because we will be introducing different ways you can help yourself throughout the whole year.

Our plan for the year is based off of a book called The Self-Help Smorgasbord. A book purchased from Papyrus. Every week, for 52 weeks, we will be working on different activities that will help us live the year more stress-free. At the end of each week, we will share our experiences with you. Feel free to do this with us! It will be an experience we can share together.

This week, our focus is sleep. Be honest, how many of you actually get seven to nine hours of sleep? Experts recommend seven to nine hours of sleep each night. Getting enough sleep boosts your cognitive function, mood, and disease immunity. Plus, it reduces those under-eye bags that we all try to cover up. And if you're looking for a way to escape for a moment, what better place is there than your dreams? We'll be recording our experiences with getting enough sleep this week.
