How to De-stress!

Stress can be very bad for you and your body. It can make you bloated, it can break you out or it can overwhelm you. We know how sometimes stress can come from your job or even from your daily life. We can't dwell on what we can change, so why don't we help you ease the stress off.


Sleep!

Have you been sleeping later than usual? You feel more stress whenever your body lacks sleep. We all know and have heard a million time before that our body needs atleast 7 to 8 hours of sleep to fully function at it's best! Feeling stress lately? Add one more hour of sleep every night.

Organize. 

One of the things that causes stress is your fast-pace life. Try just planning your day. It doesn't have to be too detailed. Often times, we feel too stressed about things that need to be done. We don't know which one to prioritize but if we only sit down for atleast 10 to 15 minutes and jot down the ones that need your attention right away. Trust me, your life is going to be much easier.

Little by little. 

Ever feel overwhelmed with all the tasks you need to do? Make a list and use different color highlighters to highlight which ones you need to do first. You shouldn't stress out with everything you have to do, because that time you are wasting. Spend that time to keep crossing off tasks off that list. Take it one step at a time. Don't worry about all the other tasks, focus on the one you have to do now.

Time for yourself.

We are constantly interacting with a lot of people and sometimes it gets overwhelming. Spending time alone could be healthy for your stressed out self. Sometimes all you need is a nice book or a magazine you have been dying to read. I love my 'me time'. De-stressing doesn't need to be extravagant, sometimes it only takes some time alone.

Pamper yourself.

Bubble bath? Candle? Comfort food? Getting your nails done? A massage even! Anything that would satisfy your stressed out self. Treat yourself once in a while. It's a reward for all the hardwork you did!

Spend quality time with family.

Sometimes all you need is your mother's home cook meal. Trust me on this one! Surrounding yourself who supports you 101% of the time makes a difference. I always tell people to surround themselves with positive people...that will boost the positive vibe in them.

Staying in. 

There are going to be times when going to the club or bar wont help your stressout self. Sometimes it's better when you actually just get comfortable in your pj's for a sleepover. No one is ever too old for sleepovers!

Turn off all electronic gadgets. 

We are all guilty of this...we are on our phones, tablets or watching something on netflix most of our free time. Why don't you guys try going outside for a walk and breath some fresh air...without your phones! There are some things that doesn't to be on your instagram. Try to take a long shower, being detached to the techy world, can be relaxing. You can reflect on your thoughts without being distracted. Wonder why you're lost in your thoughts while showering? Go figure!


Vent. 

Sometimes it's healthy if you just let it all out! Talk to that one friend whose ready to listen. Cry if you must! Don't feel like talking? Write it all down.

Eat. 

Go get comfort food and give in. Now, I said "give in" NOT binge! Go to your favorite icecream place. Nothing beats a good icecream or chicken wings when you're about to lose it... And by "it", I mean your sanity. Hold it together, everyone. Just find one that works for you. :)
