Traveling and in need of ideas on which make up you should bring? Check out this video! Plus if you like what you see, I talk more about the products and have swatches for you in this blog.

Traveling is alway part of someone's bucket list. It could be a short weekend trip or a full vacation. No matter how long the vacation is, the idea of being somewhere different is what everyone wants. With traveling comes packing and what's better than packing your make up bag. Packing is always a challenge because you don't want to forget something, but you also don't want to over pack. I've got the basic list of what your make up bag should have.

Primers are great for smoothening and evening out your skin, so that the canvas or the base of your make up is perfect. It also helps in making sure that your make up stays on for a really long time. I love using my Smashbox Photo Finish Primer for my priming routine.
Foundation / CC Cream / BB Cream
Depending on where you're going, you're going to want to pack either one of these. They serve different purposes. BB Creams claim to offer a lot of things, but most BB Creams protect your skin from the sun, moisturizes your skin and evens out your skin tone. CC Creams are color correctors. They take care of hyper pigmentation or redness on your skin. Both BB Creams and CC Creams tend to be light on coverage, but a lot of products like the Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream offer great coverage. If you're looking for a full coverage look, go for a foundation with SPF like the Loreal True Match Foundation.

Concealers are a multi-purpose product which is always a great thing consider when packing your make up. Find products that can have more than one purpose to minimize the products you have to bring. Concealers have now evolved from just covering acne and acne scars to highlighting. I love using my NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer in Custard for both highlighting and concealing.

Powders are used to set everything in place. It's also use to minimize the shine, if you're like me who is quite on the oily side. I brought my Make Up Forever HD Pressed Powder in Translucent for my trip.

Blush is a must when traveling. It brings back color into your face after you've used the foundation. I love using peach colors during summer trips. It just looks more natural on me. Cover Girl's Cheekers in Pretty Peach is the perfect peach shade for me.

I recommend you bringing a bronzer with you on your trip, especially if you're going to be out in the sun. Sometimes, our skin doesn't tan evenly and when that happens, a bronzer is going to be your best friend. I love using my NYX Matte Bronzer for this kind of occasion.

Highlighters are great for bring glow back into your skin, especially when you're out in the sun. The highlighter will make your skin look healthy and radiant. My favorite highlighter at the moment is my MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle.

Setting Spray
Don't forget to bring your favorite setting spray to your trip. It's going to make a difference with the finish of your look. It will also lock in the products on your face and make sure they stay there. My go to setting spray is the Make Up Forever Mist and Fix.

Blotting Sheet
Raise your hand if you're like me and you get super oily no matter what you do. Well you'll want to  pack your trusty blotting sheet just in case your oils start appearing mid day. Boscia's Green Tea Blotting Linen have been my favorite for quite some time now.

Eyeshadow Palette
I know that choosing to bring just one palette for eye shadow is tough, that's why I chose one that has a lot of colors I can choose from. I chose to bring my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette for my trip.

Lash Primer
This is an optional item, but I can say that my lash primer gives my lashes such amazing lashes. My lashes has a lot of volume and it's very lengthy. It really helps boost my mascara. I have yet to find a contender for my Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer.

Eye Liner
I feel like eye liners are a staple in a look. When I do a look and don't have eye liner on, it seems like my look is incomplete. I like to opt for a waterproof eye liner especially when I'll be out in the sun. It just helps secure my liner. I'm currently in love with Kat Von D's Ink Liner in Trooper.

No look is complete without mascara. Choose a waterproof mascara, it will help in preventing mascara transfer on your lower lashes. The Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Glam Waterproof Mascara is a great drugstore mascara.

Eyebrow Pencil
The eye brows frame your face, so if it's not well taken care of, your look might not give off them same vibe. It will look unfinished. The it Cosmetics Brow Power make filling in your brows easy as pie.

Eyebrow Gel
Eye brow gels keep your brows in place. You can use a clear gel or get a tinted one like the Maybelline Brow Drama in Soft Brown.

Lip balm
I forgot to mention this in the video, but don't forget to protect your lips with a lip balm with SPF. The Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm worked well for me.

Lip Liner
Lip liner help in keeping your lipstick in place and it also helps in prolonging the wear of the product. They can also replace lipsticks if you want that matte look. You can also add gloss to it if you wish. I recommend you bring a nude color like the MAC Boldly Bare lip liner and a bright one like the Rimmel Exaggerated lip liner in Red Diva or a hot pink like NYX's Bloom lip liner.

Lipstick adds opacity on your lips. These can be similar in color or compliment your lip liners. I chose to bring my MAC Cremesheen in Naked Proof and Wet N'Wild Lipstick in Cherry Picking.

False Lashes
If you're the kind of girl who loves those bomb lashes you might want to bring some falsies with you. Demi wispies are the most natural looking lashes in my opinion, so if you want a more natural look I would go for that. Personally I don't wear false lashes when I'm out in the sun. A waterproof mascara does it for me.

Lash Glue
You really can't go anywhere with false lashes without bringing some lash glue with you, so don't forget that.

Eye Make Up Remover
This is one thing that you shouldn't forget either. I love using my Sephora waterproof I make up remover. It just makes taking off make up easier, epecially my waterproof mascaras.

Make Up Removing Wipes
And for removing everything else there is the make up removing wipes. My Neutrogena makeup remover cleansing towelettes in the teal color which is the hydrating one is my favorite.
